Remembering Mama Ajoba

In relation, you were my mame sasre, my father-in-law, to be close, in absence of my real one who passed away decades back!

You filled the fatherly void for me more than once, possibly a zillion times after my dad passed away too due to cancer!

Today is your birthday and my thoughts rush back to remembering you. It’s been a few years, don’t wish to count the number that you actually kicked the bucket real hard! I know you will have fun reading this, since you always loved to fill the buckets with water when there was a water shortage at our old home.

So updates, a crow stopped by at my window today. This does not happen ever, since my entire being knows that this house is just my temporary existence. Was that you though? Did you come to check on me or is it just common folklore that all those who transition to the other world visit their persons in the garb of a crow!

Incidentally, you loved reading and collecting books and I have a few of yours as a remembrance of you. But today I was on this page from Kafka on the Shore, yes, still reading it, I want to go slow and soak in every word. Don’t mock me! ☺️ Kafka means crow in Czech! Was it a coincidence? Anyway, Wherever you are, I promise to read all the books that I have bought recently, before I buy any more! 🥺 We will meet when my time comes, till then, I will try not to miss you as much! ♥️

Grieving slowly for someone you love and respect is still legal, no they have not started taxing it as yet! 😬
